Aarhus (and other things not important enough to be named in the title)

Today was an...Interesting... day. We packed up and left the city near Skagen and drove to the biggest island, Shetland. After we left, we drove to a small place were 9 Viking cities used to stand. One of the biggest has been rebuilt to give visitors a chance to learn about how Vikings lived. I liked it, minus the fact that I didn't get to try blacksmith-ing stuff. (I actually did, but I wasn't allowed to, the people yelled at me afterwards, oops....) Then we drove to one of Denmark's oldest castles. It was a circular mound... with exits in the four compass directions. This was cool. They had also tried to rebuild one of the houses from the inside the castle. It was only then I realized how small the houses for about 20 people were... Pretty cool. Then we left to see the Aarhus Domkirke. This is the biggest church in Denmark. It was much like the other domkirke, with really big frescoes. Then I went to the nearby monastery. Here there were three churches in one place. There was a nice big church.  This church had a pretty altarpiece. Under this church, there was another church, called the crypt church. It was super dark and I was afraid of breaking the silence, because it was very quite. Then there was the last "abbey" church next to the upper church this was a nice small church for 40 people. Nothing special, except no altarpiece, and a small stained glass window. Now I'm with my grandparents.
