Tivoli (and then hop skip and jump and I'm home)
Today I was in Tivoli. That was a lot of fun. I did a lot of rides, ate
good food, and had a good time. I really like Denmark. I really like the
language, I like the people I like the smallness. I don't want to go back to
brown New Mexico. Sorry guys, but I really don't. It's so boring there. DK is
better, plus the food is better... I'm flying home tomorrow... so gross.....

The Steadfast Tin Soldier
Today I went to Tivoli again. This time I didn't get to try anything
(that is first tomorrow again :P) I went to have lunch, and ice cream. I went
to enjoy the gardens, and witness the theater and the plays they had today.
The theater is amazing. The curtain is practically a peacock with its
tail spread. The weird thing is it goes down, not up. The first play was called
the mechanical statue. It was super funny... The ballet in the piece was not
amazing, but I enjoyed it because of the slapstick comedy. The second one was
the story of the Steadfast Tin Soldier. It had amazingly great ballet... It was
amazing ballet... You have no idea. They were all so good!!!! Later we say the
Tivoli guards. This is a bunch of kids who dress up in Danish Royal guard costumes
(with bear fur hat and everything) and walk through Tivoli playing folk songs.
This is fun. I also packed. I'm so close to leaving :0... I like Denmark. It’s
not brown like NM... It’s nice. I can get everywhere with my feet, bus or
train. People are nice. I like it here.

Cemetery
Today I went to the national museum again. Here I saw many cool
international things, like three mummies. That is something I have never seen
before. There was a lot of Egyptian stuff, as well as some Ancient Greek
artifacts. Enjoyed it very much. I also say a bunch of random stuff in the
museum, so I will not talk about that. Then we went to the assistant cemetery.
This was the poor cemetery outside of Copenhagen in old days. Then Copenhagen
grew... and some famous people were buried there. Now it is more important then
the original Cemetery. There is a bunch of super famous people buried there. We
say many interesting graves. We say H.C Anderson, and a composer and some other
authors, and Neils Bohr. Which was hilariously puny. This is because Bohr
sounds like the word for lives at. So I keep asking, where does Niels live. It
kinda made my mom mad... The end
Yesterday (yet again.........)
Yesterday I went to a small museum in Ameliaborg. Ameliaborg is the
castle that the royal family lives in during the winter. There was a museum in
one of the many buildings, which held some interesting stuff. One of the
weirdest things was the American flag in one of the old kings offices. This was
given to the king on the first American independence day celebration.
There was also a room with 200kg of silver in 5 sculptures. These were
given to the king, for some occasion (I can't remember what it was, but it
could have been his 50th wedding anniversary.) Then we went to look a church,
officially, it is called Fredrick's church, but most people refer to it as the
marble church. This was a weird church because it didn't follow the pattern all
the other churches do... it was a circle rather then a crucifix. We then went
to see a nearby Russian orthodox church. I have never been in a Russian
orthodox church, but I thought it was realllllly cool. After this we took a
train to my grandparents house and we were there for along time. This was fun,
because my grandpa told us stories from his childhood. He got out his old toys
that were bought just a few years after the war. This means that the fire
trucks didn't have rubber tires, but rather metal. The hoses were paper rather
then rubber. He also told us that the toys during the war were made of
wood (so a tin solider would actually be made of wood) because of the war
efforts. This made today one of the best days in Denmark.

Yesterday (again, again)
Yesterday, I went on a train to a small town in North Shetland. Here I
met my moms friend Knud and Grete. Grete is an amazing filter. She spends every
day with wool, and making cool things with wool. She helped me make a
panda bear. It turned out pretty weird... Still, I had fun making it. My
brothers both made bags..... Ya, slow day I guess, didn't do much....

Roskilde Domkirke
Today we left the apartment at noon and went to Roskilde by train. This
was kind of hard, because right now there are hundreds of people travelling to
Roskilde because of the music festival that is taking place there. At Roskilde,
we went to see the domkirke. This domkirke is where the majority of the royal
family is buried. It has many crypts, and cool places to see. I enjoyed it a
lot. Then we went to Copenhagen and I prepared for a race. I ran a 5k in
Copenhagen and I set my personal best. I ran the 5 kilometers in 20:40! Now I
feel dead...
