Today started with an easy 5k (completed in under 24 minutes.) It is
super flat here in Denmark. It’s also at 0 feet above sea level, sooo..... The
big thing that happened was a canoeing trip. We canoed in the Guden river (its
actually a stream, but New Mexicans would call it a massive river...) We
paddled for 18 kilometers. My hands are completely dead, as is my back, and
arms. Most of the time we had the wind at our back, and we were going with the
stream, but there was 5 lakes we had to cross, and that was veeeerrrryyyyyyyy
hard. May I underline how crazy hard that was??? It practically killed me.....5
times..... There were many awesome experiences. The next paragraphs are about
those experiences.
One of the coolest experiences happened on the first lake (which
was the least hellish of the lakes). Here I picked a nice yellow flower. I also
saw many primroses, and picked one of them too. (In memory of the Primrose...)
Sadly it broke so I throw it back into the water (which was full of oil...)
Kinda symbolic I think. I found Primrose, but I guessed her death, so I through
her into a dirty grave... Exactly what happened to Primrose in the Hunger Games
Another thing that happened was going through the water lock (I
don't know what it is called in English, but google says its a water lock, so
I'll say that its called a water lock.) We went in, and they dropped the water
level because it was in the middle of the busy town Silkeborg. Though nothing
really happened, it was a fun experience, especially because right after I got
a crazy big ice cream cone.
“It is so hard to leave—until you leave. And then it is the
easiest goddamned thing in the world.” said a famous author at some point.
(John Green in his book "Paper Towns") This is very true. It is now
coming time to leave my aunts house in Silkeborg, and drive on to see more
churchs :p I am actually not looking forward to leaving. (I can't actually
think of anything meaningful to right, I’ve tried like 4 sentences now...) I
just don't want to leave... But I know that when I do leave, I will be gone and
not look back because leaving is the "Easiest goddam thing in
world".
