So, I
believe it is still the 9th, but in reality, my computer tells me it
is the 10th, at this point I have been awake for 28 hours, and plan on
remaining awake for 4 more hours… I was on a very little plane out of ABQ, and
landed in Houston. The seat belt sign was one most of the flight, but that is
because minor turbulence can toss a small plane like the ERJ-145 around
practically nonstop. I landed in Houston with no problems, and got lunch at
Panda Express (There was a group of Chinese people who stared use down because
we ate that food. I guess it is insulting to their culture???). I made it out
of Houston with no complications! On the plane from Houston to Amsterdam, I
watched 4 full-length movies, which is a record for me. This also meant I did
not get any sleep, which wasn’t good… Since I have nothing better to write
about, I’m going to tell you about the 4 movies. Also, I’m super tired so I can’t
think straight.
To put it frank, Thor sucked. (Spoilers, I guess?) The plot was super
predictable. Also, I haven’t watched the Avengers, but they have to fix the transport
system (called the byfrost?), which was beyond fixing at the end of Thor. There
was no climax. Yes, Thor got his hammer; yes he almost defeated his brother, who committed fake suicide at the end.
Yes, in the movie Loki is dead…but Avengers has Loki in it, so he probably just
did his teleport thingy…
Movie 2: Hotel Transylvania (spoilers again) was pretty good. It outlined many
of the myths we associate with mythological bad guys. It’s plot was nice, but
of course it had to have a love story. Didn’t like that story, because it didn’t
work.
Movie
3: “I’m gonna wreck it!” Ralph was true to his words. He really did wreck
everything. He nearly killed his own game, ended Sugar Rush and could have
destroyed all of game central. (God, I feel so stupid writing this…) This
isn’t good. Yet, this teaches a lesson to younger children I do not like too
much. “I am bad, which is good.” This is
like, you are bad. You broke a vase. Good job! Keep it up!
The last movie I say was
“Rise of the Guardians.” It kind of just said that what you believe in has
power. That was it.
